my childminder minds my kids 2 days a week, i took the last 2 weeks of and didnt give her any notice should i pay her to be off

Yes, you should pay her, as she was available to mind the children and you cancelled. It would be a good idea to have a chat with the minder and work out a mutually agreeable arrangement in relation to days off. It is also a good idea to write it down, and each of you have a copy of the agreement, to avoid any misunderstandings and for ease of reference for both of you.
