Easy to Make

Source of Protein

Iron & B12

Why We Love It

Red meat, like steak, provides protein, which helps build bones and muscles. Red meat also supplies vitamin B12, which helps make DNA and keeps nerve and red blood cells healthy, and zinc, which keeps the immune system working properly.

The antinflammatory coumpounds found in cucumbers help detox and remove waste from the body and reduces skin irritation which is good news for teens!

Wholemeal is a very good source of dietary fiber and manganese, and a good source of magnesium.

What You'll Need

1 x Sirloin Steak
1 x Wholemeal Pita Pocket
2 Tsp x Dijon Mustard
3 Tbsp x Olive Oil
¼ x Cup of Lemon Juice
1 x Tomato
1 x Red Onion
1 x Cucumber
½ x Head of Lettuce

Method

Whisk the lemon juice and mustard together in a small bowl and add salt and pepper. Place steak in a shallow dish and pour the mixture over letting it marinade for ten minutes, turning once.

Chop the lettuce, onion, tomato and cucumber and mix all together in a large salad bowl.

After marinaded, the steak can either be broiled or fried until desired tenderness.

Once steak is cooled, slice into thin strips and mix with the salad. Cut pitas open and fill with the steak and salad.

Wrap in foil and pack for lunch!
